There’s an art to crafting Christian pop, and Tauren Wells has it mastered. The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter has separated himself as an artist who can put faith-based messages in a youthful, modern context – a strong communicator. In 2018, “Known” rose to the upper echelons of the Hot Christian Songs chart. The same year, Wells became a worship leader at Lakewood Church, one of the largest congregations in America. So yeah, he has no issue preaching to the masses. His “Fake It” and “Empty” performance made our studio feel 100x bigger. “I was chasing counterfeits / Tryin to find a fix / But all that I was missing was You,” he sings in the former track. There’s layers to Wells’ message, and he makes finding truth fun along the way.
