God is the original definition of good. He is good in and of Himself.
Jesus said in Mark 10:18 “No one is good—except God alone.
God reveals his goodness to us through giving us his son Jesus Christ, through natural blessings and delivers us from distress, breaks the chains of sin that bind us, and turns the night to day.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is GOOD and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
